WWE News: The Story Behind AJ Lee Retires From The Ring
AJ Lee - who was one of the most popular female wrestlers in WWE - announced her retirement from professional wrestling last week. This past February, WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann sued AJ’s husband, CM Punk, for the comments he made about WWE’s medical staff - specifically Dr. Amann - on Colt Cabana’s podcast back in November, and unsurprisingly WWE is backing up Dr. Amann in the lawsuit against Punk.
It doesn’t seem like there’s any heat towards AJ on WWE’s part, but, AJ’s departure from WWE was mostly due to the fact that WWE was supporting Dr. Amann in a lawsuit against her husband.
It’s likely that AJ won’t be returning to WWE until the relationship between WWE and her husband is repaired, which may never happen.
No Bryan. No Ziggler. No Ambrose. This week's show really lacked a "lead." And can you even imagine if they tried to open last week's RAW with Orton vs. Kane? Holy s***, there would have been blood in the aisles. Heads on pikes. And look, we all know that the post-Mania RAW crowd is particular, but I feel confident enough to say that "Anyone vs. Kane" is no way to kick off anything. It's all just dry heaves right now. I guess that does sound disrespectful. Guys stick around way too long these days.
This goes mostly for Kane, in particular, who hasn't won sharks*** in a century. How come his mega-slump never gets called out? Anyhow, those two are boring as batfarts right now. And Orton's pushing it. I've never found him exciting.
To hell with us fans, right? At least according to the post-RAW Jericho/Cena podcast, which quickly turned into a jokey "Eff You To The Fans" session. Meh. Let's talk AJ. "Retiring?" From "In-Ring Competition?" Then on RAW (and the pre-show, I heard), the announcers were all high off her fumes.
Once a quick round of hot topics is addressed, the main topic is discussed. Justin LaBar and Josh Isenberg are joined by Brian Gulish and introducing Brittany Baker for this segment.
