Having a website is one of the first steps to a successful home business on the Internet, but without traffic that website is useless. The lack of website traffic is one of the main reasons that home businesses fail online. Lets face it, without traffic you have no prospects and without prospects you have no customers.
There are many ways to generate website traffic to your online business website. There are free methods and there are paid methods. In this article I want to talk just a little bit about getting some free traffic to your website. If you follow through and implement just one of these methods you will be well on your way to flooding your home business website with traffic.
Method 1. is to use articles. Articles just like this one here you are reading. Articles are one of the most profitable ways to generate free traffic to your website. Articles are great because the reader can read your article and get a feel for who you are and the value that you can offer. Then after reading the article the reader can then click through to your website using a link in your bio at the end of the article. This is a very qualified and targeted visitor. So how you do this is simply write articles and then go submit them to article directories. Then when people read articles on the directory or do searches in the search engine your article will come up.
Method 2. is to use free press releases. I really love press releases because they are similar to using articles. You can simply write a press release and then submit it to press release services who then have a directory of press releases. Search engines really like press releases too.
Method 3. is to use discussion forums. This here is a very good way to get quality targeted traffic to your website as well because people who read your posts are able to get a feel for who you are again and then click over to your website. What you do is go to the search engine and search for related discussion forums to your topic or website. Start and join in on discussion topics including your website link in your post signature file. When people read the post they will see your website and then click through to your website.
